Events

BrainModes (http://www.brainmodes.org/) is a venue in which computational and modelling approaches to study the brain are discussed together with applications and new perspectives. The BrainModes meetings  seek to explore innovative means of understanding complex brain activity and multimodal neuroscience data sets. The inaugural BrainModes meeting was held in Berlin in 2007. The objective of these meetings is to foster informal discussion of brain modeling and multivariate data analysis (EEG, MEG, fMRI, etc). The central motif is that of “modes” – that is, understanding how complex brain activity is organized around low dimensional manifolds.

Its format promotes discussions with and among high-profile invited speakers, but gives also the opportunity of students to present their work during the poster reception. Furthermore the slots for each speaker are meant to leave a considerable amount of time for discussions.

As in some of the past editions, we will organize an educational workshop the day before the main meeting, with tutorials and demos for students.
